Ordinary SAT prep is just that: Ordinary. The first thing to look out for is whether the SAT prep company or tutor you are calling is inquisitive and asks questions about you and your child’s current status and future plans. When a company representative does not ask questions or respond to requests punctually, it shows a lack of business skills and training.
The second thing to be attentive to is the personality of the company representative and/or tutor. If a person is monotone or low energy and does not exhibit a passion for what he/she is doing, then you need to be concerned and nicely move on to the next interview.
Remember this: Just because someone is intelligent does not mean that he/she can successfully convey SAT information to students. When students become overwhelmed by too much information or too sophisticated an approach the results are undesirable.

Print out multiple copies of this page, one for each interview.
